	Whether your kitchen resembles this 1947 advertisement, or something from a different century entirely, Historic New England wants to hear from you.

Today's kitchens may be chic gathering places outfitted with gleaming, enormous appliances, but long before modern design trends came into fashion America's kitchens were hard-working, multi-purpose spaces with dŽcor derived directly from the cutting-edge technology of the day. Historic New England, that venerable preservation organization in Boston, is developing a book and exhibition detailing the evolution of the American kitchen over the past 300 years, and you can help. Whether your kitchen is up-to-the-minute splashy, methodically restored, or untouched for 100 years, submitting your photos and stories online will add immeasurably to the project. We're looking for a huge range of kitchens from every era, says HNE public relations officer Susanna Crampton.
